TZATAZIKI SAUCE

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

  1                cup  plain Greek yogurt

  1              clove  garlic -- finely chopped

     1/2         whole  lemon -- juiced

  2          teaspoons  mint leaves -- finely chopped

     1/4           cup  cucumber -- seeded and minced

                        salt -- to taste

 

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and blend well.

 

Refrigerate 1-2 hours, or longer, to allow flavors to meld.

 

Description:

  "A yogurt based cucumber sauce that is good on gyros and various other sandwiches and salads."

Yield:

  "1 cup"
