Week #1-TOASTED CHEDDAR SANDWICHES

            Toasted Cheddar Sandwiches

  20     pieces  Cheddar cheese -- cut in small thin cubes
                 butter
  4      slices  bread


Lightly butter the bread and place small pieces of cheddar cheese on the bread.
Cook under the broiler until the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly toasted.
VARIATIONS:


Use any variety of cheese or bread for a variety of tastes.  Particularly good on Jewish Rye bread, with garlic butter.
Use garlic butter or other herb butter in place of the plain butter.
