WEEK #1-HAMBURGER STEAKS

                             Hamburger Steaks

Serving Size  : 3     Preparation Time :0:15

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation
--------  ------------  -------------------------

  1      pound  ground beef -- turkey, lamb or chicken may be substituted

1/4      cup  onion -- finely chopped, OR use 1 tablespoon dried minced onion rehydrated in boiling water.

  3    tablespoons  fresh parsley -- minced or 1 teaspoon dried minced parsley
                     salt and pepper -- to taste

     1/4      teaspoon  garlic powder -- optional  

Mix all the ingredients together well and form into 3 patties. 

Spray a skillet with non-stick cooking spray and fry on both sides until cooked through. 

ALTERNATIVE COOKING METHOD: 

Grill, or broil the patties.

Serving Ideas : Serve with brown gravy and mashed potatoes, along with crusty bread.

FOOD STORAGE:


When I have the freezer space I will make up several of these patties, flash freeze them individually on a cookie sheet then wrap them separately for a quick grab meal.  They can be cooked either from the frozen or thawed state.
